Meet Dr. Anderson-Cermin
Meet Dr. Cheryl K. Anderson-Cermin
I feel extremely blessed that I have been given the opportunity to be part of the orthodontic profession. It is truly an honor to be trusted by my patients to provide them with the smiles and health that they desire. I don't know what could be more rewarding than helping others! The fact that my patients trust me with their smiles is a privilege that I do not take lightly. Each one of my patients is wonderful and unique, and I love getting to know them and their families. I have been practicing orthodontics for over 20 years, and I look forward to many more years of sharing great smiles!

- Dental degree – University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry

- Orthodontic Residency – Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry
- Surgical Orthodontic Fellowship – University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Department of Oral Surgery
Continuing Education
I am always excited to learn more about new and cutting-edge techniques and technology. Advances in orthodontics are constant. I am dedicated to continuing my education as a way to ensure that my patients always receive the best care possible. I regularly attend the University of Minnesota Orthodontic Study Club, as well as the annual Orthodontic and Cleft Palate meetings.
My love of education is something I enjoy sharing. I often have the honor of teaching pedodontic resident students at Gillette Children's Specialty Health Care. I also have been honored to lecture nationally and internationally, and am planning on returning to Kosovo this fall as a guest lecturer at the University of Phristina Medical and Dental Schools in the area of orthodontic management of the cleft palate and craniofacial patient.
My work has taken me around the world, and I have had the opportunity to work with so many unique and wonderful people. One of my favorite moments was when I worked in a remote village in India. I worked with a family to treat an infant who could not eat. I was able to create a device for his mouth that allowed him to begin feeding and gain weight. At the end of my stay the village held a ceremony, where I was made a goddess! This whole experience touched my heart greatly, and I am always looking forward to where my travels will take me next.
Outside of the Practice
I am originally from St. Croix Falls, and I am proud to be helping to keep this beautiful community where I grew up smiling! My husband, Jonathan, and I have two wonderful children, Hayley and Jeremy. We are also the proud owners of a Weimaraner puppy named Shotzie (which means “sweetheart” in German) and a kitty named Clover. When I'm not busy at the practice, I enjoy spending time with my family and our pets. I am also an active member of my church, and I enjoy knitting, reading, skiing, and traveling.
I feel a deep connection to this community, and I enjoy giving back to the community as much as possible. I'm actively involved in several local organizations, including:
- Life Enhancement Association for People (LEAP) – board of directors
- Wild River YMCA and Wild River Fitness Board of Directors
- Bethesda Lutheran Church Council
- Rotary International
- Falls Chamber of Commerce
- Jail Ministry
- Moms in Touch
